CITIC enhances its recruitment of international talent through the European project 3i-ICT.

The Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) of the UDC is increasing its recruitment of international talent through the European project 3i-ICT. In the second edition of this program, whose application period has recently closed, the UDC center has received 75 applications from 56 applicants, of which 51 applications from 39 individuals were accepted.

The ICT Research Centre (CITIC) of the University of A Coruña hosted on Tuesday 23 May the presentation of the international doctoral theses of the 3-i ICT (International, Interdisciplinary and Intersectoral Information and Communications Technology PhD Programme), an innovative programme for attracting pre-doctoral talent awarded to the UDC centre last year. Conclusion of first call for applications for 3-i ICT international PhD programme

The first call for applications for the 3-i ICT (International, Interdisciplinary and Intersectoral Information and Communications Technology PhD Programme) was completed in September with the selection of four researchers to carry out their PhD projects at CITIC under the supervision of Carlos Gómez, David Vilares, Ricardo Cao and Luis Castedo. The researchers selected come from Pakistan, Cuba, Mexico and the United States, and their projects relate to the fields of linguistics, medicine and industry 4.0.

CITIC presents 3-i ICT, an innovative, European-funded early research talent recruitment programme

Last Friday, 25th March, CITIC hosted the presentation ceremony of the European-funded 3-i ICT project, an innovative ‘International, Interdisciplinary and Intersectoral Information and Communications Technology’ PhD Programme for Early-Stage Researchers. The programme has a budget of €1.3 million, and is co-financed by the European Commission and the Regional Government of Galicia. It is the first Galician project to be awarded an MSCA-COFUND-H2020 grant.
